So here's my post for my first overseas trip with bf to Batam! It was a free & easy, 2D1N trip. I always think that going overseas with tours are boring and so restricted. With free & easy, we can choose to do what we want at any point of the day, go to places that we only like and not sticking to boring itineraries. Most importantly, without having the need to wake up sooooo early in the morning! ^^v

I shall let the pictures do the talking.

At Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal

Took Batam Fast, Sea Raider II! 

In less than 45 minutes, we reached Nongsapura Ferry Terminal.

The yellow sticker on my left, like a tourist. Hahah. 

With my yellow sticker, the escorts of Batamview Resort recognised me immediately and we were guided to our shuttle bus which will then bring us to our hotel.

Checked in and TADA~ Here's our deluxe room! 

Oh, and not forgetting the receptionists were super nice to let us check in almost 2 hours early before the exact check in time which is 3pm (SG time).

And chanced upon 'the amazing world of gumball' showing on CN! Hahaha

Cam-whored and enjoyed some air-con in the room before going down to the reception to book a cab to town! 

I must say the cab reached in the blink of an eye! Like literally in. the. blink. of. an. eye! As soon as the receptionist ended the phone call with the driver, gave us the paper and then she tell us our cab is outside waiting for us already. It's like we didn't see the cab anywhere before at the hotel entrance and it just magically appeared within seconds! Hahaha. Something both bf and me were very amazed about. Efficiency (thumbs up). 

It took around 40 minutes from our hotel to most of the shopping malls, probably because our hotel is facing the beach, therefore it is a further distance away from town. Decided to go to Nagoya Hill for our first stop!

Had lunch at A&W! Apparently they didn't happen to have rootbeer float that day :(

Bought some souvenirs and went to the hypermarket to stock up some food and drinks for the night! I just can't stop picking food from the shelves because they're super duper cheap! Everytime I see something I will tell myself "OMG, this is only SGD 1!" "Wow, this is only SGD 0.50!" "BUY!" 

Can't help it `\_(ツ)_/

Indomie! Who doesn't love this? A must-buy food in Batam! Let me give you another reason to buy - its only roughly SGD 0.50!

Hailed for another cab and we went back to the hotel after buying dinner take-aways. 

Just in time for the sunset right from our balcony!

Changed and wanted to head for the spa but they only had the sauna for us. We gave it a miss anyway, it's too scary to be alone in a sauna room with not a single soul! Haha. So we decided to rent some DVDs from the hotel reception to watch for the night!

I remembered bf and I were knocked out way before 3am. I guess we woke up too early for the ferry, it was a long day for us and the bed was too comfortable to not fall asleep in! 

Set my alarm to wake up early for the buffet breakfast in the morning! Clever me specially set an earlier timing cos I know that there's a dead pig + a slow poke to wake up in the morning. 

Managed to drag the dead pig out of bed and here we are, just in time for the buffet!

After breakfast, we changed and went for some kayaking at the beach!

Went for one last dip in the pool before going back to our room to bathe, pack up and getting ready for check out!

Checked out at 1pm (SG time) and we do have quite a lot of Rupiahs left! So we decided to call for a cab to BCS mall. 

Long car rides make us sleepy.

Took the same cab back to the hotel a few hours later to catch our shuttle bus to Nongsapura ferry terminal!

Bye Batam! We had a pleasant stay! *wave*
