Shall blog about my short getaway over the weekends.
Saturday, 3December2011 - Sunday, 4December2011
So, every year we will go for a short trip as a celebration for Grandpa's birthday. And this year...
Leaving Singapore to some
Kahang Farm in the early morning of a Saturday. Took the KTM railway train and reached this place called
Kluang in an hour plus. We then hired 2 cars to bring us over to the farm.
Totally a
Kampong girl there. So proud of myself, able to survive the battle with insects, muds and dirty place.
| This 'break' between every cabin is so scary! It really seems like the cabins are breaking apart. |
| Small cafe in the train. |
| Settled at this RailCoffee place for lunch. |
| And this random guy wanted to take a picture with me when I was about to leave.. They're friendly though. |
| So peaceful~ |
| Our multi-storey floating houses. |
| After bathing there for 2 days, I don't feel the heater working... |
| Notice the bunny's blue eyes! |
| Grandpa's so cute. |
| My jumping is so ugly. |
| Yes.. The smallest always get 'played' around with. |
| I'm really clumsy in this.. Totally went into the water in my first attempt. |
| I feel like I'm a Tarzan girl. |
| AND KAMPONG GIRL. |
| Very olden bamboo boat! |
Went for this night walk in the forest. Like, really deep into the forest! Pretty scary.. The unknown howling of creatures and you can barely see a thing. Didn't get to take much picture cos it was too dark and scary.
| Leech. |
| BBQ at night! |
Day 2:
| Breakfast. |
! |
| All these are coffee beans! |
| And we made a new friend. She literally followed us through the whole farm, wherever we go! |
| Little pup. <3 |
| The mountain water. |
| Cyrus: "I don't want my pants to get wet leh..." *pulls* |
| In the end... "Aiya, don't care already." |
| Taken by Mom.. She focused the leaves instead of my face. |
| Jumping! |
| Lunch. Really yummy! |
We realised there's only tickets for 'normal' train back to Singapore. Don't have a choice so we bought the tickets. When the train arrived... We were totally shocked. It wasn't air-conditioned, no openings for windows at all (except for a small portion on the top) and human were squeezing and sweating inside. When you stepped into the train, you can totally feel the heat and stuffiness. Total awful sight.
So we gave up, refunded the tickets and decided to try taking bus instead.
Definitely so much more comfortable ya? Slept throughout the long bus journey with my ear-piece plucked in. Played with some of the new apps downloaded from my phone too. |
